Biography of Zdenka Hlávková (1843-1902)

This thesis presents biography of Zdenka Hlávková (1843-1902), second wife of the czech entrepreneur and philanthropist Josef Hlávka (1831-1908), which came from the family of prominent lawyer Matěj Havelka (1809-1902). Zdenka Hlávková was not just daughter and wife, but also an artist and a member of the Americký klub dam. The thesis is gradually being dealt with family backgrounds of Zdenka Hlávková, her carrer, late marriage and social life. Since childhood moved she to the society of czech patriots and artists. Focus is dedicated her contacts especially in connection with the palace in Lužany. The thesis classifies life of Zdenka Hlávková into the context of women´s history in the second half of 19th century. Female education and their employment are primarily subject of interest. Zdenka Hlávková has remained unmarried for a long time and therefore performed one of the possible female professions.
Forms of Patronage in Czech Environment

The author of this diploma thesis will conduct an interdisciplinary synthesis about signficance of patronage in history of Czech art. The core of the thesis will be an analysis of the chosen phenomenon through four case studies dedicated to selected personalities, who represent different eras and different forms of patronage: Josef Hlávka, Václav Špaček ze Starburgu, August Švagrovský and Pavel Vašíček. Main chapters will prepare critical evaluation of existing literature as well as general exposition of the subject of the thesis. Case studies will be genereallised and sumarized in the final chapter, which will define specifics of patronage in Czech environment. Picture attachment will be a part of the thesis. Marketing communication in the beginning Academy of Sciences

The work focuses on the origin of the Czech Academy of Emperor Franz Joseph for Science, Literature and Art from the perspective of brand building. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the factors that created the brand of examined institution in the period between 1890-1908, i.e. during the chairmanship of the first president Josef Hlávka. This objective is achieved through theoretic resources of the branding environment in the institutional field and through approach of the historical context of the 19th and 20th centuries` breakthrough. Within this context, the work focuses on the life of Josef Hlávka, his philanthropic activities and policies, the creation of the institutional foundation of Czech science on which basis could the Czech Academy of Emperor Franz Joseph for Science, Literature and Art arise, and contemporary marketing communications in a given period . Due to the lack of a theoretical base of institutional branding to analyze the brand of the Czech Academy of Emperor Franz Josef for Science, Literature and Art a model of political branding of Paul Fawcett and David Marsh, which is also suitable for institutional branding, was used. The everyday life at the chateau Lužany in time Josef Hlávka

Presented bacherol aims to capture approach everyday life in the household czech benefactor Josef Hlávka´s in the chateau Lužany in years 1886 - 1902. Defined period imagines period of the marriage Josef Hlávka´s and Zdenka Hlávková´s, née Havelková. Using literature and sources of personal nature is pruposed look on the household and its residents. Lužany was place for meetings and cultural life. Focus is dedicated lužan´s guests and their look on chateau´s everydayness. Functionality, form and incidence on the household and direct neighbourhood of chateau´s are subject of research about economy in the chateau and manor. Edition of daybook Zdenka Hlávková´s is part of this bacherol. Concluion resumes new detected findings and open prosect to next research of sources.
